Hello there. That’s a very good question. We can see that KBSM syllabus uses dicot while KSSM (the current textbook) uses eudicot. Actually there is not many differences between them. We are using eudicot because biologists have started to use the current taxonomical term. We will learn more about taxonomy (naming system) in chapter 8 (Form 5).
You dont have to worry much about it. Just enough for you to know that both eudicot and dicot have 2 cotyledons in their seeds. What’s more important is for you to know the differences between monocot and eudicot.
